2013 Jan Birthday Snowflake 076

What would the new year be without an Happy Birthday Card or a Thank You card or ANY card that didn't include SNOWFLAKES!  Not a new year in MY world.  I just LOVE snow.

For this card we used the Midnight Muse Card Stock for the card base.  On top of that we use the Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper (126917).  We discovered, we like using it just brown, but sometimes we colored it up. We made boxes with it last fall.  If you are interested in 3D items, let us know and we can put some of those on the blog too.  We also used the Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack – 2012-2013 In Color Collection to get a little tiny bit more color behind the Midnight Muse Card Stock.   The Snowflake is cut out using the Silver Glimmer Paper (Page 160 of the catalog).  You can get Silver Glimmer Paper free with a Sale-A-Bration order.  Make sure to contact us to get your order in so you can take advantage of all these FREE toys!

We used the Snow Flurry Snowflake Big Shot Die.  We actually used 2 of them.  Remember when you are using Glimmer Paper to use green glue to adhere them to each other.  We've just discovered that none of the other adhesives really stick as well as green glue.

We used the Bitty Banners Framelits and the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set for the happy birthday.  Isn't it fun that the stamp sets have those framelits that coordinate with them?  It makes cutting these out so quick and easy!  This was stamped with Midnight Muse Classic Ink Pad.  The center of the snowflake was punched out with the Punch Pack (118309).   We used the Rhinestones in the center and around the Happy Birthday to add a bit of glitz.

We hope you are staying warm and may all your snowflakes be light!

Happy Stamping!

Wendy & Cheryl
