Thank You!

2013 10 4 20 thanks 077

We all need Thank You cards to send special greetings to those people who make our lives richer and better by the special things they do.

We just love this card!.  We used the Thanks a Bunch stamp set which comes from the Friendship Preserve Set (Wood 127910   Clear 127913).  This is such a fun card.  I really wanted to do it but I had to redesign it to use it in January.  We designed it with Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalog that is no longer available for purchase.  That's the problem with having more card ideas than you actually have classes.  We are hoping to take care of that at our upcoming Spring Fling event in Madison.  (March 1st – March 3rd).  We hope you will be joining us for this great weekend filled with lots of cards and other projects.

It is stamped on an Island Indigo Card Base.  The step down layer is Calypso Coral Card Stock that was put the Big Shot using the new Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder ( 127750 ).   This is really fun to use.

The Designer Series Paper is actually some paper you can get for FREE during Sale-A-Bration which runs through March 22nd.  The paper is called Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper.  We just love it and are using it on a lot of cards.  Hey, it's free so you can't go wrong!  The Thanks a Bunch stamp is stamped using Island Indigo Classic Ink on Whisper White Card Stock.  Then it is easily cut out using a Framelit Die called Window Frames (129021), which was also carried over to the Spring Catalog. (Check out page 36 of the Spring Catalog to see what other favorites were carried over).  We used 2 different levels of the Framelits.  One to cut out the stamped image and one bigger to create the Island Indigo border for the stamped image.

Then we used the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack (127857) which was also carried over from the Holiday Mini.  This set is $7.95.  Let me tell you that the $7.95 for these paper-piercing set is well worth it.  You get 3 sheets in there that have all different designs. It just adds so much to just put a little bit piercing around a card, or put it around a saying or doing it around a punch.  It is a really cute, fast and easy way to add a design element to your cards.

The Designer Series Paper banner was created using a square punch. That DSP was attached to the Calypso Carol Card Stock.  We then attached the Island Indigo Card Stock.  The Whisper White greeting was then attached to the Island Indigo Card Stock using Dimensionals.  Before attaching the Calypso Coral to the Island Indigo Card Base, we wrapped this with the Early Espresso Baker's Twine (123124).

We hope that you have a lot of opportunity to send out thank you cards.  We seemed to be sending a lot of Thank you cards out lately since we have so many people that we are thankful for in our lives.

Happy Stamping!

Wendy & Cheryl
