Who do YOU love?

Who do you love enough to send a hand made Valentine card to?  I have to say I don't send many. One year I did send them to all our awesome customers and downline… I had not gotten Christmas cards out!

2013 10 for 20 Valentine front

This is the Valentine's Day Card we did in January for the 10 for $20 class.  We thought we would do one that wasn't so mushy because we have one customer that comes just to make Valentine's Day cards to send to her boys.  Boys, you want send them a Valentine's Day card, but not one too smushy.

For this card we used a base card of Real Red Card Stock. We used Very Vanilla and put that through the Fancy Folds Embossing Folder.  We used the Designer Paper from the new Spring Catalog.  Did you get your catalog?  If not, let us know right away.  It is filled with really fun things to use in it.  The Designer Series Paper is called More Amoure (129309).  It is on page 10 in the new mini catalog. It is $12.95 for 12 sheets of paper and 2 of those are hearts.  One pink set and one red set of hearts that are laser cut out that you can use like doilies. So fun!

The red heart, cut from Red Glimmer Paper, is cut using the Big Shot & the new Framelits Die called Hearts a Flutter (page 11 of Spring Catalog).  It just adds quite a beautiful spark to the card.  The other hearts were stamped in Real Red using the stamp set called Hearts a Flutter.  Now that stamp set and the framelits die are available as a bundle (page 11) which will save you 15% when you buy them both!  We have a lot of fun using these.  This set made this card really fast and simple to make.  After stamping these hearts, we ran them through the Big Shot using the coordinatig Framelits to cut them out.

Underneath the Vanilla Seam Binding tape , we used a round scallop punch to make the red glimmer paper border to add a little more spark to this card.  You know, even with boys, you can have a little, tiny bit of glitter.

We used the pin from Vintage Trinkets to pin that heart on the Vanilla Seam Binding.  And the saying is from That’s the Ticket stamp set on page 27 of the new Spring Catalog.  We are really excited about this because it works with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch (Annual Catalog p. 182).    We love punches.  NO CUTTING!

To finish it off, we stamped some hearts on the inside too.
