For the men…

This card has a funny behind it. When we were at our fall frolic where we made 76 cards or something like that, we made a card using this stamp set. You want to be sure to sign up now for our Spring Fling. We already have over 12 people registered so sign up early so you don’t miss out!

Well, we made a card using this set called Clockworks. However, on that one, I had them cut out ALL the cogs! See all those little cogs. Yep, they had to cut them all out by hand!

So for this one we did for 10 for $20, I took pity on them and had them punch them out instead!

We used En Francis, Clockworks, Bitty Banners and Dictionary Stamp Sets. We used Soft Suede ink with the En Francis Stamp set on Very Vanilla cardstock just for the background.

We used Early Espresso and Midnight Muse Classic Inkpads. We used the Argyle Embossing Folder. That is the strip of Early Espresso down the left hand side of the card.

We inked up the big background stamp by laying the stamp on the table. Then we put the ink on it, then laid the cardstock down onto the stamp. We covered it with a scrap piece of paper and rubbed gently to make sure it stamped well. Since this piece of paper is longer than the stamp, you want the part that is on the right hand side to hang off the stamp so when you flip it over, the left side will be unstamped and can be covered with the Early Espresso piece.

You could use just about any saying with this card. We used Happy Birthday, but get well or thinking of you would work too!

The punches we used are the 1/4, 3/4 and 1 inch Circle Punches.

Have fun stamping this card to get a collagey look. Don’t forget to sponge the edges!
